C7: Public Policy and Regulations – This elective will illustrate the fundamentals of public policies and regulations, especially the drafting of policies and regulations, and delivering policy briefs and summary reports for Ministers and Members of the Parliaments and Congress.
C8: Procurement and Bidding Process – This elective introduces the fundamentals of procurement and bidding for sustainable development projects. Participant-Learners will be taught on how to design, implement and manage a procurement and bidding process based on guidelines of World Bank and United Nations. It will be a hand-on practical approach to learning based on guidelines of the World Bank and United Nations.
C9: Project Document (PRODOC) Formulation and Design – This elective will instruct the methods of appraisal, assessment and formulation and design of a development project. Participant-Learners will be guided on the preparation of project proposals with detailed action plans based on logical framework analysis as according to the World Bank and United Nations Guidelines.
C10: Leveraging Data Analytics for Development – Tools and Techniques – This elective illustrates data analytic tools that are available and utilised in sustainable development work. The process of data collection, extraction and insightful analysis will be taught to provide supportive evidence for the purpose of sustainable development. Data shall be sourced from the World Bank, United Nations and Asian Development Bank.
C11: Monitoring and Evaluation –Â This elective provides an understanding of the differing approaches in the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of sustainable development projects. Experience and guidelines will be drawn from the United Nations on the design and implementation of an effective M&E system, from the continuous monitoring to terminal evaluations of sustainable development projects.
C12: Formulating a Development Roadmap –Â Less developed countries (LDCs) need to make progress in the fields of education, technology and health. It is imperative that international development consultants know how to formulate the way forward to guide the process and progress of reform.
