About Cagayan de Oro College
The institution was originally founded in 2011 by the Kalbe Education Foundation in collaboration with the Bina Nusantara Foundation under the name Kalbe Institute of Technology and Business. In 2013, it was renamed Kalbis Institute of Technology and Business.
To support institutional development, Kalbis Institute became an independent entity under the Kalbe Education Foundation in 2020 and declared itself a corporate-based university, followed by updates to its vision, mission, strategies, and curriculum.
In 2024, based on the decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 18/E/O/2024 regarding the merger approval, Kalbis strengthened its status and officially transitioned into a university.
In 2025, Kalbis University was acquired by the Triputra Persada Horizon Education Foundation. The foundation was established by two major Indonesian conglomerates—Triputra Group and Persada Capital Investama—in collaboration with PHINMA Education from the Philippines.
The learning process at KALBIS University equips students to become the next generation capable of making significant contributions in the workplace, society, and to the advancement of the nation. With a variety of degree programs available, KALBIS University divides them into two distinct focuses: the School of Business & Communication and the School of Computer Science & Design.
