A Spice of Romance in a New Journey: Masdika Releases Debut Single ‘Journey of Love’ with Kalbis Music Club.

JAKARTA, INDONESIA, August 8, 2025 — The Indonesian music scene is once again enlivened by the presence of a new talent ready to captivate listeners. Masdika, an emerging singer, has officially released his debut single titled “Journey of Love”. This work is not just a song, but a manifestation of a deep musical and emotional journey, crafted with a fresh touch of Pop and Alternative Rock.

Masdika, who is part of the music community at Kalbis University, began his professional journey through the UKM Kalbis Music Club and the independent music label Ruang Bawah. This label serves as a platform for young musicians at Kalbis University to create. “Here (Ruang Bawah Studio), we are free to create, fostering a supportive environment, and making memories. Our vision is to make Ruang Bawah more than just a name, but a music label whose work can be enjoyed by everyone, even outside the campus environment. We hope this can inspire other musicians and be a real example that work can be born from anywhere,” said Masdika.

This first single was created with full dedication and a strong sentimental nuance. The production process involved Masdika’s colleagues at Ruang Bawah. This collaborative synergy created a warm and personal feel. Every instrument and arrangement was composed to build an emotional atmosphere, in line with the song’s lyrics which tell a story about a journey of love.

The song “Journey of Love” originated from a simple idea by Masdika at the beginning of 2025. Despite going through a challenging production process, such as limited equipment, Masdika remained consistent in carrying out this debut project. With support from Ruang Bawah and Delon Alletia as a colleague and producer, Masdika and his team began to project a teenage love story into a musical format that could be enjoyed. After taking on the challenge, Masdika started rewriting the lyrics from April to May. The four-month production process provided many new lessons, from recording techniques to mixing and mastering.

Despite facing many obstacles, Masdika admitted that he enjoyed every process. “At the point of uploading my first single to the aggregator, I am very grateful to all the colleagues involved. Especially the Ruang Bawah team, and the campus that has facilitated me in my music production process,” he expressed, full of gratitude. This single is tangible proof of the achievement of a small part of his aspirations as a musician. With a strong vocal character and unique musical arrangements, Masdika is ready to bring a new color to the Indonesian music industry.
